Olfactory embrace

Sweet
drops
entice
as they fall
from flourishing stem
I stop and smell your aroma
intoxication
as I fall
under
your
spell

Oh wow! What a wonderful poem. Amazing in fact! And your words go nicely with your photo of the Turkish Poppy. Thanks for stopping by and sharing your creation with A Picture Speaks! :-)

I often choose a photo before I write a blog post, but not usually when I’m writing poetry. You chose a good inspiration!

Thanks! Yeah, pictures have so much power that I like to first write and then choose a picture that can add subtlety. If I choose a picture first then the poem is usually very literal. Thanks for stopping by :)
