报春花誓言
从泥泞的土盛开
雪不会得逞
Primrose promises
Blossoming from muddy ground
Snow shall not prevail
サクラソウ
泥からの花
雪が溶け

Thanks! I really do love snow, but I think part of the reason I like snow is that it makes me appreciate the warm spring days

I cannot wait to see those primroses … although, we have not had a tough winter (as of yet) — I am ready for it to be over!!
Very nice! Thank you for sharing.

Thanks! I think milder winters are harder because they seem like a waste of weather

Thank you! I actually wrote it in Chinese, though they share characters so possibly it might make some sense in Japanese as well

The moment I opened your posts I thought you wrote in Japanese and it looked close to Hiragana but then I realized it is Chinese.. You have beautifully said in Chinese and in English.. Thanks wordcoaster..

SiS, you and Andy convinced me to try writing it in Japanese as well. Though not strictly Hiragana, I hope you enjoy it. It works syllabically because some of the Kanji are two syllables. Thanks

The snow never prevails, does it! Great!

Nope, never! (Though sometimes I do miss it once it’s gone.)

I’ll take any promise I can get that the snow will not prevail!

Aha! At first I was confused by your comment coupled with your haiku title, but once I read it, it makes a lot more sense
