Ice picks scar the frozen face
As years of white dust crumble away
Arm over arm advance by degree
Ever nearing pinnacle’s acme
The glacier cracks, the ropes all fray
Cliffhanger snaps back to old rat race

Thanks! I wrote it as sort of a cheeky lament at being back at school, back to the grindstone.
