The Old, The Old, And The Old

‘What’s it that makes you giddy so?’

‘I run down old dusty road:
See wildflowers–ditch beauty grow
Alongside old dusty road,
Flowers–ditch beauty grow.’

‘Why hang your head and move so slow?’

‘I’m miles down old dusty road:
Where fewer and fewer people go
Far down the old dusty road,
Few people go.’

‘Why do your eyes glint as the crow?’

‘I’ve walked whole old dusty road:
Here river runs like liquid snow
Ending the old dusty road,
In liquid snow.’

There is something here that grabs. Perhaps it’s the repetition. I know its showing a maturing style. I really like it.

I agree with Mike… this is so much fun and very touching. There’s nothing like the road of experience.

I love the mood of this piece – and the eyes glinting like a crow!!

Can’t escape the cold in the end but at least the dust didn’t seem to bother you 😉
