The Contest

There was to be a contest
For all in the little town
To see who had the very best
Riddle from all around

Many came and entered
And submitted their clever jokes
Most were proud and self-centered
Conceited little blokes

But there was one little boy
Who while waiting in line
Was filled with such greatness of joy
That he jumped up and down
And spun all around
And around
And around
And around

A crowd gathered to see him spin
But one man who was tall and thin
Finally decided to ask of him
“Have you taken your riddle in?”

What if the guy who asked him had been short and round? Ha! Cute one, David!

Now that was a cute poem. I love the Hershey’s shirt. I’ll take one of those.

Nice stuff, could do with a comma here and there – but I’m a picky sod – thanks for sharing
