Honest Appraisal

Panic picnic of mind
Release reels of thread
Absolve absolute of bind
Yield yells of fed

Beauty lies in shapes
A glittering diamond
A beating, living, loving heart
The sliver of a moon
The semicircle of a smile
Or, rather, oval tears
A twinkling star
Crop circles

Practicality lies in shapes
The food triangle
The oval office
The pentagon
Times Square

Iā€™d square this poem
But it would make it circular
So with the ding of a triangle
Geometric poem ends

Thanks to whoever nominated me–I think it was duncancleary, a wonderful poet himself and someone I’d love to have a fireside chat with.
I nominate The Noiseless Cuckooclock for thought-provoking verse that illuminates the good, bad, and worse.

I like this! I love the use alliteration and the last two stanzas regarding shapes. Well written šŸ™‚
