Disgregate

Photo by Roy Sykes of Jordan Wolf

Unsure of the reason for the wolf
And what he has to do with golf, but…
They make for quite a fairway pair
An odd couple extremely rare

So, I received the unexpected honor of “Perfect Poet” from Hyde Park Poetry, and I will gladly accept the award (before they reconsider ^did you just read that?^) and I nominate tigercity for next time–he is just an all-around interesting person, and his poetry is no exception.

When identities hang by the wall,
And bafflements sit brooding in the squalidness,
I cannot find my way: there is no star,
No twilight saint, no rocket radiance
To burn away the tar sticking to the shadows
And dragging behind like silent fetters;
All the eggs are Benedict–
My gun is empty anyway:
Life is but a passion play.
