Walk, Don’t Run

So Close To Beauty

Photo by Claire Anthony

What is it that propels this scurrying
This racing like a madman
Never tired
Embracing what’s before us without question
Running faster when brick walls
Appear ahead
As if they’ll crumble right before we hit
Or open wide a hidden door anticipating
Our perspiring aspirations
A life that never stops is not
A gift;
Slow down to gentle trot
Before you’re dead.

    journey is best enjoyed when undertaken slowly, very nice!
