I Know They Mean Something

The yellow lines on the winding road
Are a civil engineer’s idea of Morse code
With their dashes and dots of varying size
Conveying a message I cannot surmise
Without calculating the antinode,
And that’s just a pain on the eyes.

Too true! If you look carefully enough you can find it–just don’t get too close, haha. I’m reminded of Bradbury’s story “The Man in the Rorschach Shirt”, where the main character has vision so good that he describes people as simply walking pores. 🙂
