Riesling Reflections

Against all odds (and evens, too) I am the place I am;
It wasn’t me who got me here–
No dream, no scheme, no plan.

There was a word when I was young and then a space between
For growing things that grow mature,
All fresh and lush and green.

A seedling still, but evergreen, I raise my branches high:
A sign of openness, a sign
To You, my true supply.

I am a transplant far from home but rooted in the vine,
Thinking thoughts of glory shown
When water turned to wine.

    Wordcoaster – first 17 haiku are done. A bit beyond our DEC 1 deadline but …

    See those here:

    These are like raw clay at this time, awaiting shaping ala loku. It’s OK if you are unable at this time to collaborate. Still excited about the project though. I will commence with writing your 17 – the theme of love found – lost – and found again – if I remember correctly. Until I hear from you at which time I will defer to your writing. Hoping you are well and enjoying the season. Take care. –CC

    So 34 haiku done. Both themes. Not sure why I am motivated to complete this project, but I am. I appreciate that life gets in the way of making other plans. Be well. I will continue to post here only because I know you had enthusiasm for the form, not to inundate you or harass you – truly. Unless of course you ask that I not continue, in which case I will graciously oblige. I look forward to where the writing and the form will take me. I welcome your contribution at any point should your availability allow you to do so. —CC
